B-town actor Parineeti Chopra and politician Raghav Chadha tied the knot

Parineeti Chopra, a popular actor in B-town, and Raghav Chadha, a politician, wed over the weekend in a charming and private ceremony at the Leela Palace Udaipur in Rajasthan.

For her wedding dress, Parineeti chose a custom Manish Malhotra creation that was adorned with a variety of matte embroidery and sparkling beads. The actor was previously clothed by the renowned Indian designer for her engagement ceremony in an ensemble that reflected the same simple and simplistic style as her wedding attire.

A midriff-baring choli and matching lehenga in the same champagne-gold hue made up the bridal jora. The gown was a masterpiece in the monochrome bridal wear category, embellished with subtle gold decorations, traditional pearlescent beading, and beige-toned embroidery and threadwork.

From a distance, the coordinated fabric colors of the various items of clothing and the embellishments that lined them gave the appearance of a straightforward, lightly ornamented costume that merely gave off a soft glow in the daylight of the daytime wedding ceremony. But one could only truly appreciate how many hours went into the fine handiwork that adorned the simple but richly ornamented bridal dress when one looked at the garment closely.

A continuous diamond or rhombus-shaped design was embroidered on both the choli and the lehenga.

On the choli, the rhombus design’s proportions stayed constant, but on the lehenga, as the pattern descended to the hem, the size of the diamonds gradually expanded until they reached their largest and most elaborate forms.

The bridal outfit’s use of a geometrical motif as the main needlework element was deliberate and perfectly consistent with the atelier’s distinctive designs, which frequently rely on the straightforward beauty of distinct lines and well-known, sharp-edged motifs and patterns.

The bride wore the long swathe of cloth in accordance with tradition, with the dupatta draped across her chest and over her shoulder and the elbow-length sleeves of the choli bordered by pearls as well.

Parineeti chose the ideal statement jewelry pieces, also designed for her by Manish Malhotra, to bring color and extra sparkle to her ensemble. Her layered neckpieces, forehead tika, earrings, and gehnay were all crafted from a stunning combination of polki diamonds, gold, and light and dark emeralds.

Her neck was adorned with a five-tiered necklace made of geometrically shaped metal molds that were set with the most precious polki diamonds and bottle-green and sea-foam-green emeralds in various sizes and forms. The jewelry went well with her outfit and matched the geometric embroidery on her dress.

The customary, gold, jhumka-shaped kaleeras that hung from Parineeti’s wrists and were lined with baby-pink churiyaan to match the pink scarf that Raghav was wearing around his neck, as well as a pair of karray with attached aik anglas, would have been lacking from her bridal ensemble. She wore a transparent veil that was made of plain, sheer cloth and was simply stitched with her husband’s name, Raghav, in Hindi script. During the ceremony, the pair also donned matching flower garlands created from bouquets of baby’s breath and fully blossomed white roses.
