Seek Social, no -ly – not to be confused with Seek Socially!

#no-ly

Recently, we have been confused on Trustpilot with an entirely different company who has no affiliation with us whatsoever – Seek Socially. We are Seek Social – no -ly! – and we are proud of the results-driven services we provide. So please don’t confuse us, and spread the word!

Here at Seek Social we are very proud of the organic social media growth and digital marketing services that we provide. We are serious about using only proven techniques to achieve real, organic results for our clients, helping them to build and/or maintain their brand. Unfortunately, we have received several mistaken bad reviews online which were actually referring to an entirely different digital marketing company, Seek Socially, who have no connection whatsoever with us, Seek Social. Unfortunately, it is that -ly – we are Seek Social, not Seek Socially.

We were especially saddened and frustrated by these mistaken reviews about a different company, because we take what we do very seriously at Seek Social, with Fortune 100 companies featuring in our client base. Clients trust us, as their testimonials show, and as such, we need to clarify that we are Seek Social, not Seek Socially!

Allegedly, according to the Trustpilot reviews, Seek Socially uses bots to give clients ‘fake’ followers on their social media channels. Amongst other things, clients of Seek Socially were unhappy with these non-organic growth techniques. At our company, Seek Social, our team does not believe in using bots or non-organic social media growth techniques. For our clients, we only use our own, data-driven processes, which are described in detail on our website and in our blogs, to achieve organic growth centred on engaging with real human beings! We’ll say it again: here at Seek Social, no -ly, we don’t like bots. We like data, tried-and-tested processes, and organic, measurable results. And that’s pretty much all we like when it comes to social media growth and SEO optimization.

Do your research…..or pay the price

We genuinely empathise with the dissatisfied clients of this other company, Seek Socially, whose business’ reputations have unfortunately been harmed. We at Seek Social, however, see this as a good opportunity to warn people about the dangers of using bots to buy and/or generate ‘fake’ social media followers, and of the importance of thorough research into a company you might hire.

Unhappy clients of Seek Socially saw their potential audience being spammed, without actually gaining any real followers on Twitter (bar three!). Despite many seemingly credible reviews of Seek Socially, one Trustpilot reviewer writes that the agency caused her Instagram channel to be shut down and brand reputation in tatters, due to a sudden increase in Instagram followers….all, of course, fake. We want to reiterate, as we are passionate about this here at Seek Social – we use only real, data driven marketing and growth techniques. And we strongly suggest that you make sure any social media or digital marketing agency you engage in does the same. In fact, we’d love to show you how our consistently effective services could help your particular business, as shown by our many awards and client testimonials.

Beware the lure of bots to grow your business and build your brand. The promise of a quick-fix provided by bots – the sudden surge in follower numbers, clicks or website leads – can be alluring to a business looking for success. But trust us here at Seek Social (not Seek Socially!), bots don’t constitute authentic digital marketing techniques. On the contrary, they can seriously harm your social media growth and overall marketing efforts.

Beware the bots

Bots can disrupt your marketing efforts in several ways, including feeding you fake leads. Effectively, you’re paying an agency for leads that won’t convert to sales, or any other defined metric of success. So spend your money wisely. Bots can also skew your social media data; if a large proportion of your followers are fake, then you can’t see what your real target audience are interested in. A social platform’s algorithm could associate your company with whatever activity the bots do, not what your real target audience does. You then won’t know how to engage with your followers. It goes without saying that bots, such as those allegedly used by Seek Socially, are likely to damage your company’s reputation, if an account is closed down or prospective clients are spammed. It isn’t worth the risk.

Growth – how to do it properly (i.e. organically)

The only way to gain real followers on social media and to more quality leads is to use organic, proven digital marketing methods. All companies want success, which in today’s world involves growing their online presence. It can be done – every brand, even those as big as Starbucks and McDonald’s, starts somewhere. Yet success begins with real, established marketing techniques, offered by a reputable agency like Seek Social with a consistent track record. Slow and steady really does win the race (although we do achieve results for our clients as quickly as is practicably possible, you get the idea!)

You want to build your brand, gain followers and get leads. It might feel like a stab in the dark, but there are defined processes that are known to achieve social media growth and good leads for your business. You can read about what we do – not Seek Socially!- in detail on our website and blogs. Here, we’ll just briefly describe how established, effective processes can generate quality leads and achieve social media growth. Effectively done SEO work involves properly optimising content, both onsite and offsite, and creating quality backlinks. This means that your website ranks high in organic search engine results, and generates quality leads. In terms of social media, the ticket to true growth is to actively engage with your target audience. This is easier said than done, but with the right advice from marketing specialists, it is completely achievable. It’s a case of portraying your brand in just the right way and engaging with real people on the right level. At Seek Social, we’re more than happy to help your business with any of these authentic, tried-and-tested marketing tools. And that’s Social without an -ly!
