Boosting Productivity: The Energy Management Approach

You might be wondering how you can ignore time Management. Should I say that the days of Time Management are over or that it was never about Time Management but has always been about Energy Management?

In this article we will discuss the concept of Energy Management in detail so that you can derive maximum benefit from the insight.

Time Management v/s Energy Management

Time is the costliest commodity in the world. You know that you can never return the time that is gone and that it is precious. But have you ever thought of your energy in the same way? Have you given it the importance that it truly deserves?

We tend to ignore the energy part, or we might be unaware. Whether not you are aware or not, energy rules you. Others mock people who talk about energy. But it is time to look at it closely with some seriousness.

Sometimes, you may have all the time in the world but still do not feel like lifting a cup. Have you ever wondered why that happens? You may brush it off by thinking of it as laziness or lethargy, blame your genes, and let it go. But it would be best if you looked closely.

You need to examine yourself and your surroundings and look for things that boost your energy and those that drain your energy.

“Before you move ahead, let’s check out what is causing the drainage of positive energy”

Energy Vampires

The Energy Vampires are nothing but the things or even people that drain you of your energy by sucking it out of you. Whoever termed them Vampires termed them correct! Because they suck your energy and life out of you. It keeps happening all the time, and we are unaware of it.

The vampires in the digital era can be anything, starting from your mobile phones to any electronic devices around you to the foods you intake to the places you visit, that annoying neighbor whom you always unconsciously avoid, and all those people who you think are nice but you somehow tend to avoid. It can be anything or anyone—even your family members.

The Chinese have Feng Shui in place to pay attention to these small things; the goal is to try to get the best out of their surroundings. They pay attention to every small detail, and if you observe closely, you will find significant government buildings constructed close to the river and in a specific direction and with some shapes and designs that you may find weird.

All in all, every such system that is out there in the world has one crucial thing in common, making sure that there is nothing that sucks energy and there is a free, easy, and abundant flow of energy. Stagnation is never a good thing anywhere. Is it?

Energy Management

Coaches and experts advocate it, from Tony Robbins to all the modern gurus. Energy Management is something that our Siddhas- the ancient and brilliant masters- had mastered and devised various ways to help others manage their energy and conserve it per their requirements.

You might wonder, Why? Because by now, you might already know it is all about you and your energy. Life depends on it. You need not be a fan of Physics to understand that.

It is the law of nature. That is how things work.
Our brain only cares about saving energy as much as possible and wherever possible.
There is no unnecessary spending in nature (unlike us)! Nature’s effort is always towards conserving energy. It doesn’t waste an ounce of energy. Everything is designed and coordinated so beautifully in such a way that there is no leakage or wastage of energy.
So, what happens when you conserve energy?
Well, it will be used elsewhere in a productive manner, contributing to your well-being and longevity. You may end up living for ten more years. Who knows!

Energy in Daily Life

Think of all the people around you whom you love, admire, follow, or get inspiration from. They all are very high in energy, whether you see or feel it.

Think of your favorite shops, saree houses, vada pav or pani puri outlets, servers in your favorite restaurants, or places you generally love to go to repeatedly. You find something magnetic, and it is not just about the taste of the food or the quality of goods and services.

There will be one warm person who exudes good energy and is not low on energy. I can bet!

How often have you purchased something in an outlet because the person was highly energetic and piled up things to show you? How often have such people told you that it doesn’t cost to look at the items?

All these examples show one thing, and that is the fact that people love interacting with people who have high levels of energy. They love doing business with people with high energy and love to hang around with people with high energy. People refrain from interacting with someone who has low or no energy. That’s a complete turn-off. Now, why that happens is an entirely different story.

The Road Ahead

We know why and where all energy is essential. In short- EVERYWHERE! Though we cannot do much about our surroundings, like the Vaastu and Feng shui sciences, we can always manage our inner being. That is our choice. It is up to you to decide which side you want to be on the energy spectrum. Decide fast and start to see where your energy is leaking.
