WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — Police are literally looking out for males they’re saying bought nearly $13,000 worth of Onewheel Electrical Boards at a Williamsburg bike retailer using one other individual’s financial institution card knowledge.
In keeping with police, the incident occurred on June 29 spherical 5:35 pm Officers responded to the bike retailer on 100 Faculty Row regarding a suspicious incident.
A preliminary investigation of the incident revealed that the two males purchased 5 OneWheel Electrical Boards totaling $12,757.31. The duo tried to make the acquisition using two completely completely different financial institution playing cards that had been every declined. On the third attempt, a financial institution card amount was equipped and the transaction was processed.
Suspicious of the boys’s conduct and the huge purchase, an employee of the shop reported the incident. Neither subject was on scene when officers arrived.
