In anticipation of a legal dispute over access to the messages between the investigation and the Cabinet Office, Boris Johnson stated that he had sent “all unredacted WhatsApps” directly to the Covid-19 inquiry.

The previous state leader told the request’s executive Aristocrat Hallett he would “like to do likewise” with messages that are on an old cell phone he quit utilizing because of safety concerns.

The messages on the locked device are likely related to conversations about the three coronavirus lockdowns that were ordered in 2020 and date from before May 2021.

In a letter that was sent to Baroness Hallett on Friday, Mr. Johnson stated, I am sending your inquiry all WhatsApps that I provided to the Cabinet Office without any redactions.

“I might want to do likewise with any material that might be on an old telephone which I have recently been informed I can never again get to securely.

“Given the urgency of your request, I believe we must test this security services advice.

I have requested assistance from the Cabinet Office in securely activating it so that I can search for all relevant content.

“I propose to direct you to all such material,”

Additionally, he informed the former senior judge that if the government refuses to return his unredacted notebooks, he would share them with the panel.

Mr. Johnson was forced to change his mobile phone while he was leading Britain in 2021 because his number had been publicly available online for 15 years.

Yet again a representative for the previous Moderate Party pioneer said that, should the messages from the cell phone be safely gotten to, Mr Johnson was ready to advance them in unredacted structure to the request.

The inquiry stated that it would not discuss the judicial review or Mr. Johnson’s letter until its preliminary hearing on Tuesday.
