What is My Neighbor Alice?

My Neighbor Alice is a multiplayer builder game, where anyone can buy and own virtual islands, collect and build exciting items and meet new friends.

Inspired by successful games such as Animal Crossing, the game combines the best of the two worlds – a fun narrative for regular players who want to enjoy the gameplay experience as well as an ecosystem for players who want to collect and trade NFT:s, even if they have no idea what an NFT is.

My Neighbor Alice places the community at the core of its governance process, inviting ALICE Token holders to join the DAO — The Community Council. 

Through the DAO, the project aims to distribute ownership to the community, allowing players to vote and propose important decisions (e.g. game development, NFT approvals, upcoming competitions, etc.).

Over time, the members of the Community Council will also manage and distribute the revenues to the team for additional game development.

DeFi elements are integrated within the gaming narrative to incentivize player’s participation and gameplay.

My Neighbor Alice plans to offer collateral-backed NFTs and NFT rentals that will enable players to rent out their NFTs and earn interest.

Key Game Features of My Neighbor Alice

My Neighbor Alice includes a variety of in-game features designed to advance and upgrade users’ gaming experience.

Players can trade their land and other in-game items, such as houses, fences, animals, and plants in the virtual in-game marketplace. 

Avatars

Each player is represented by an avatar in the game, and players could interact with others through the avatar. Players could also modify the avatar by installing different assets to it.

Virtual Islands

In the game, players could either purchase virtual plots from Alice or in the marketplace. There is a scarce supply of plots in the universe and each piece of land is represented in the form of NFT tokens.

In-Game Assets

There are in-game assets that can be deployed into the game and they can be bought on the marketplace. Among them – houses, animals, veggies, decorations, or cosmetic items for the player’s avatar.

ALICE Token

Alice token is the main currency of the game, it enables players to exchange NFTs, buy land and use specific DeFi products such as collateralization, buyback, and staking, mainly in the first phases of the game development

Some say that the pandemic has accelerated the process of moving things online — one step closer to Ready Player One At Antler Interactive, My Neighbour Alice’s goal is to create games that introduce players to new ways of interacting with emerging technology — at the forefront of the gaming industry.

In Summer 2020, we started off the design for My Neighbor Alice — inspired by Animal Crossing, which wants to offer users a relaxing experience in the world of Alice but also monetary incentives through the introduction of Non-Fungible tokens and blockchain technology.

My Neighbor Alice develops its game economy on the blockchain to reward players as they participate in the game and to distribute ownership of the game items.

The project has raised 2.2MM USD from two rounds of token sales, where 21.00% of the ALICE token supply has been sold at 0.100 USD/ALICE and 0.80% sold at 0.125 USD/ALICE.

Ways to Make Money From My Neighbor Alice

One of the strategic visions within My Neighbor Alice is to create monetary incentives for the most committed and motivated players. Here are possible ways to earn passive income with my neighbor Alice

Staking yield

Based on our staking and reward projections, we will allocate a fair amount of tokens on staking rewards. This will incentivize stakers to hold their tokens during the early stage of the game development when some game features will still be under development.

NFT collateral

When a user buys NFT from the system, a percentage of the purchase price goes into a special collateral account associated with NFT. The user then has an option to sell it back to the system (i.e. destroy the NFT) for the price equivalent to the locked collateral (or a percentage of it).

NFT Rental

NFT:s, including land, can be rented to other players. The smart contract will make sure that the borrower cannot resell or destroy the object, and makes sure that the object returns to the owner when the rental period ends.
