Quinns Rock Dog Beach, Perth, WA

Quinns Rock Dog Beach, Perth, WA

Enjoy the beach like a local!

Most people love going to the beach, but what’s better than going then going with your dog!!

Having the freedom to let your pooch run, dig, play fetch or even swim. You’ll also have a chance to meet some new doggy friends too!!

Where is it located.

Quinns Rock Dog Beach is located on Ocean Drive, Quinns Rocks.

Quick access and features.

They have also recently upgraded and expanded the dog beach (see map), and have plans to make at least 3 more access points (Northern, Central and Southern access way).

You also have the option of walking next to the road and even though some parks. Where there is lots of green grass, places to sniff and explore.

You’ll have access to:

  • Car park
  • Water stations
  • Poo-bags and Poo-bins

Best time of the day to go.

Most people prefer to go early morning for a stroll before work, while others go any time after work.

Be careful if it’s still dark because you might not be able to see any snakes or other dangerous objects your dog may encounter or eat.

You’ll find most times there will be people around, except during the hottest part of the day. This is because the sand can be too hot for your dog’s paws!

Helpful tip for hot days.

Use the 10-second rule! Put your hand on the sand or pavement. If YOU cannot hold your hand comfortably for 10 seconds, then it’s TOO hot for your dog to walk on.

Safety.

Always make sure to read the signs and follow the rules, after all, they are there for every human and dog’s protection!!

The biggest danger could be heat-stroke and snakes.

Be courteous.

Make sure to keep other people and their dog in mind, not all dog’s or humans enjoy an overzealous dog in their face. It’s always best to ensure you have full control over your dog at all times!

Best things to take with you.

  • A relaxed attitude!
It’s time to switch off and enjoy your dog’s company and natures beautiful scenery.
  • Your dog’s favourite toys for some games.
  • Some treats.
  • A lead and their collar.
  • Water bottle for you and a water container for your best friend.
  • Poo-bags!
There are no poop-fairies and it is certainly not fun stepping into dog poop at all! IF YOU FORGET them, you can usually find poop bags near the poo-bins at the access points.

Life is short – just have FUN with your DOG
