Bruce Colette McDonald

Born March 6, 1925 Wapella Saskatchewan

Died January 20, 2021 Edmonton Alberta

Bruce Mcdonald died peacefully at home surrounded by family at the age of 95 years.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 71 years Mamie, daughters Janet (Ian Fraser) and Sharon (Duane Chapelsky), granddaughters Lee (Ben) Bennetts, Jamie Chapelsky, Megan (Brandon) Perrott, great grandsons Kayne and Ramsey, many nieces and nephews, great neighbours and friends.

Bruce was predeceased by his infant daughter Brenda Faye, mother Annie Whitton, father Donald McDonald, brothers Ian, Patrick, and Allan, sisters Annie and Rita.

Bruce will miss the Brier and a ride on the south leg of the LRT in Edmonton. He served in the RCAF during the second world war. He was an avid curler, golfer, and bowler. He played and coached hockey and softball.

Given the limitations of gathering during the pandemic, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation – where he worked until retirement.
