Meebhoomi AP – Check your land records

As the world is digitizing day by day and so are the Land records of the states. The Andhra Pradesh Government also released one such portal known as the Meebhoomi portal for the easy access of property-related services in the state.

What is Meebhoomi?

The Andhra Pradesh government has launched an online portal for the digitization of the land records registry in June 2015 Known as the Meebhoomi portal. Meebhoomi portal was launched in collaboration with the Department of Revenue enabling Easy access to Land records for real estate owners, buyers, and sellers in the state.

Meebhoomi also has a passbook that helps landlords to check any amount due to state and tax payments.

  2. Users can also access FBM or field management books alongside village maps through the official website. 
  3. Ensures transparency in processes related to encumbrance certificates received and maintenance of land records.
  4. Any individual or Andhra Bhoomi owner can access this website as well as the app.
  5.  Users can also lodge AP Bhoomi-related complaints on this website.
  6. An SMS service updates patterns and office bearers with the progress of a concerned process.

Meebhoomi Adangal

A document maintained by the Village administrators, which includes the details on the land, land type, liabilities, etc. is known as the Adangal. It is also recognized as the “Village Count Number 3”. This document can be used for the sale and purchase of property, as it specifies all the land-related details. It can include details related to the land owned by an individual, tenancy, nature of the soil, existing liabilities, etc. 

The process to view Meebhoomi Adangal

  • Visit the official Meebhoomi website and scroll to the other Adangal option.
  • Click on Adangal to access the menu and choose from a personal or village Adangal.
  • You will be redirected to a new page asking you to fill in details like district, zone, village, name, etc. Access these details with the help of the Aadhaar number, survey number, auto mutation records, and account number.
  • Once all details are filled in, press on ‘click’ to access your meebhoomi adangal details. 

Meebhoomi 1-B record

The record of rights popularly known as 1-B is a document that provides an extract of land records as maintained by the state’s Revenue Department.

It can be used in court proceedings, in obtaining bank loans, and in the verification of the information of the seller. It is sourced from the manual and separate registers maintained in villages listings and land records before the digitization process implementation on the meebhoomi portal.
