The 3 compromises you shouldn’t make when erecting a steel building

Don’t Compromise on:

• Fully Trained Staff
• Substandard materials and equipment
• Health and Safety including welfare of the staff

You should always use Fully Trained and certified Steel erectors. They will ensure the building is put up to the agreed plans and they will solve any issues as they come across them or flag them up if necessary.

They will make sure the bolts and materials used are correct for the structure. The use of substandard bolts in the erection of your building can affect its future performance.

At DPL, we only use quality British manufacturers and suppliers, and all our buildings carry the CE mark. By following the agreed plans, a fully trained erecting team will ensure that your building is erected within the timeframe given in your schedule and advise you if there are any delays.

The site should be run to Health and Safety guidelines which will include the use of nets and rails and scaffolding. The site will be fenced off and sign posted. The wellbeing of the erecting team will be looked after by provision of welfare facilities for the duration of the project. This gives you peace of mind, knowing you have employed a competent contractor under your obligation as an employer of construction works. Our Independent Health & Safety Consultants are there to ensure we keep up to date with current legislation.
