Your core is the middle part of your body, or trunk – and it’s made up of 16 different muscles. When we talk about the core, we’re talking about your deepest muscles that stabilize you in everything you do.

Exact Exercises To Reduce Belly Fat

Think of a tin can. The top of the can is your diaphragm and the bottom is your pelvic floor. On the outside of the can are the superficial muscles – the rectus abdominis and the external obliques. These are six-pack muscles.

Inside the can are the deeper muscles called the transverse abdominis, the internal obliques, and the deep back muscles. Your inner thighs, glutes, shoulders and neck also support your core.

Why train the core? If you only train the superficial six-pack muscles, you won’t get a flat stomach because you won’t be targeting all muscle groups.

Pelvic rocking can be difficult to master, but it’s worth the time because it’s an effective movement if you want to exercise to lose belly fat.

This Floor Workout Is The Best Belly Fat Burner, Trainer Says — Eat This Not That

Be safe: Always warm up your core with a pelvic tilt. It helps stimulate the nerve supply between the brain and muscles. This will prevent back pain and other injuries.

When you exercise to lose belly fat, don’t just stick to traditional exercises – try something different! This is a fun exercise made even more interesting by using a medicine ball.

Be safe: Breathe normally during this exercise. The more you practice, the more movement and control you will gain.

Rest assured: it’s easy to move your legs up and down. It takes practice to make controlled movements to make sure your stomach doesn’t rise and your back doesn’t arch. Exercising properly from one to three will boost your ability to get perfect abs.

Best Exercises To Target Belly Fat

Rest assured: this exercise gives you instant feedback whether or not you do it right. If after a few reps you start crawling and your shoulders lift off the floor, you’re only using momentum, not muscle power and control. Keep the movements slow and you should stop moving.

Be safe: If your hip bones sink into the floor, move your hips forward or backward slightly until you find a comfortable position.

Using this movement as a test of your fitness as well as a great exercise to lose belly fat will improve your competitive streak.

Be safe: Ask someone to hold your legs while you do the test, or tuck your legs under the couch or bed.

Exercises For Losing Belly Fat

Be safe: If you need to ease into the exercise, keep your upper back on the ball. As you get stronger, work your lower back toward the ball.

Tossing and turning in bed may be less pleasant in the days following this exercise.

Rest assured: if you’re experiencing lower back pain, your hips are sagging. Lift the bottom up. Remember to keep breathing. If this is too difficult, keep your knees on the floor.

Hold for 60 seconds. You can do it! Remember you have two sides so it’s twice the fun!

Lose Belly Fat Now And Get A Shredded, Strong Core

Be safe: if the exercise seems too difficult, keep the lower leg on the floor until you are strong enough.

Be safe: If you feel your back lift off the floor, raise yourself up to your elbows and do the movement until you are strong enough to lie down.

Difficult but effective, this exercise is perfect if you want to lose fat from the front of your stomach.

Be safe: When you put the ball down, make sure you spin far enough or you won’t be able to hit it on the next rep.

As a personal trainer and weight loss coach, I am constantly answering health and fitness questions from my clients, on social media and on our websites.

. In this column, I address some of the most common questions and obstacles that drive people to create a health and fitness routine.

I hear this question quite often from my clients. For many, the stomach is the body part they are most self-conscious about. I’m often asked if there are certain movements or types of exercise that help me lose weight around my midsection.

But while there aren’t any magic moves you can make to lose weight in one specific area, there are a few things you can focus on that will help you lose belly fat over time.

The Number 1 Exercise To Lose Belly Fat

I recommend focusing on overall weight loss – knowing that overall weight loss will lead to weight loss in the midsection as well.

It is important to note that it is impossible to talk about weight loss without addressing diet. Counting what you eat and replacing foods that provide empty calories like processed carbs and sugars with whole foods have helped many of my clients reduce bloating and shed extra pounds.

After getting your diet in order, focus on your workout routine. Here’s where to focus your efforts when it comes to exercise to help reduce overall body fat and tone your midsection.

Endless crunches won’t do much if your abs are buried under excess body fat. Cardio is key to burning calories and losing weight. Biking and walking are two forms of low-impact cardio that I often recommend to clients. Walking is one of the most underrated forms of exercise when it comes to burning calories and losing weight. In fact, many people in our Start Facebook group admit that daily walking helps them lose weight and shed inches off their midsection! Riding a bicycle or cycling machine is another great calorie burning exercise. Cycling works your core and lower body while getting your heart rate up. If you have access to a spin bike, try interval training by varying the incline and speed. If you want to ride your bike outdoors, look for a hilly trail and play with your speed to get some variation.

Exercises That Get Rid Of Lower Belly (pooch) Fat

Research shows that a combination of strength training and cardio exercises is good for weight loss. Strength training helps build muscle, which burns fat and boosts metabolism. Plus, muscle burns more calories than fat, so building muscle helps us burn more at rest, which will also help with weight loss. And many strength training exercises engage the core, which will help strengthen the abdominal area and increase muscle tone in the midsection. Try one of these strength routines for exercises that will build muscle and work your core:

Finally, target your core by incorporating exercises that tone and strengthen your abs. Remember: Abs are one muscle group you can train every day!

As a Pilates instructor, I recommend starting every ab routine with a pelvic tilt. This exercise helps you align your core. By pulling the naval toward your spine and engaging your deeper abdominal muscles, you train your body to work not only during crunches, but during other exercises as well. Additionally, by engaging the core and engaging the deep abdominal muscles, it helps to flatten and tone the midsection.

I also recommend choosing ab workouts like mountain climbers that work the whole body instead of just the abs. By doing full-body movements, you’ll burn more calories, which will help you lose weight and build strength in all parts of your body.
