# **Photoshop User Forums**

Many people use the Internet to network, research, and, often, share information. If you are a Photoshop user, there is an interactive community

Luckily Photoshop can be installed as a Chrome Extension which will save you from downloading it. This process is well explained on Adobe’s website.

Firstly we need to log into the Adobe Web Store, simply search for Adobe Photoshop and click on the Install button.

After you have installed the extension, if you are asked to restart the browser go to the main menu option called More Tools > Page Reload to let the extension running.

Installing Photoshop Elements as a Chrome extension

The extension has its own extension icon and looks like a pair of scissors beside the address bar. When you are in the gallery you can manage your images there as well.

When a new image is added, a notification will appear in the sidebar. You can immediately use the image.

On the right side of the extension icon there’s a square button that will take you to the list of your currently installed extensions. Click the picture of the extension you wish to uninstall or update.

Alternatively you can find the extension in the overview tab of your extension, simply click on the Extensions icon.

“Screen recording” button

When you press on the “screen recording” icon, the image will be recorded to the main window. You can press the play button to start the screen recording.

There’s also an option to open the settings tab in the bottom right corner of the image.

Managing your Extensions

You will be asked to log in to your Adobe account to authenticate the extension.

The extension will have a history tab where all the extension that you have installed or have removed from your computer will be listed.

The extension’s interface can be managed in the History tab.

Clicking the “Restart Extension” will restart the extension without logging you out from your account.

To add more extensions simply click on the Add new button in the top right corner.

Once you click on the Add new button in the top right corner, you will be able to add an extension directly from the browser’s extension store.

The history for installed extensions are listed under the History tab.

Alternatively you can uninstall the extensions by clicking on the “x” button in the bottom left corner of the extension’s icon.

A process of deleting extension is also listed in the History tab.

MS Word 2003 – PDF to Word – properties

I have a PDF document in which are embedded some RTF fields.
I convert the PDF to a Word document using the tool from Adobe.
I then try to recreate the RTF fields, but the content does not match.
Some properties do – the type – the font used – is the same – but not the content.
What properties should I use to import them back?
EDIT1:
The content is an array of “fields” with each field being a set of char[]’s – one char for each char (and 0 for new line).
Then each field contains one of these :

The content is not text or run of text, it is mixed.
EDIT2:
I tried to fill those fields using the RichText Field Tool and directly within the RichText fields tool, adding those special characters manually and then exported as a word document. Then, those field are empty – there are no content, the content is not matched.
I also tried to export as.dot, and I created a.dot/wordmap of all fields and special char, tried to fill them and there are the same result, empty fields.

I finally found the solution : if I export as a.dot file, and create a wordmap of the field content, then it works.

The Eraser tool allows you to remove or erase portions of an image without harming the surrounding areas.
There are two methods you can use to crop or resize an image in Photoshop. You can use the Crop tool, which can be found in the Image menu, and the Rectangle tool, which can be found in the Rectangle toolbox.
The Liquify filter allows you to modify the properties of an image to give it a more fluid look. The filter can be used in both InDesign and Photoshop, and it works by applying a series of Warp Effects to the image.
The Move tool allows you to move objects within an image by dragging. You can use it to move objects around the page, resize objects, rotate them, or even make them bigger or smaller.
The Pen tool allows you to draw paths within an image. Each point along the path has a corresponding shape. This means that you can change a shape’s size, make it horizontal or vertical, make it elliptical, and more.
The Pen tool is useful for drawing shapes around an image. This is often used to make shapes that are rotated or moved around the image.
The Paint Bucket tool allows you to select areas of an image. You can fill an area in, clear out a selected area, or simply make it transparent.
The Rectangle tool allows you to draw rectangles on your image. You can create new objects by dragging the points in the image, or by moving lines along the points and adjusting their size.
The Special Effects tool allows you to add sophisticated effects to an image. You can add bevels, bokeh, motion blur, and other effects.
The Refine Edge tool allows you to sharpen, soften, or filter selected areas of an image. You can use it to give an image a smooth look, or to remove fine details.
The Sharpen tool is used to intensify areas of an image so that they stand out from the surrounding background. It works best on photos, but it can be used on other types of images as well.
The Eraser tool allows you to remove sections of an image, leaving behind holes or holes of texture. Using this tool requires practice and some understanding of how it works.
The Puppet Warp tool allows you to change the size and shape of an object within an image. You can use this tool to make an object smaller, larger, shorter, or taller.
