Eriksen Translations, led by Vigdis Eriksen, Commemorates its 30th Year in Business

Eriksen Translations was founded in 1986. Vigdis Eriksen turned her job as a Norwegian translator into a company. Vigdis launched her company in a Brooklyn artist’s loft with a small team specializing in Scandinavian languages. Since then, the company has expanded its services to fulfill its clients’ demands and provide relevant, culturally acceptable language solutions across print, web, and multimedia. Eriksen works in more than 100 languages and is backed by a global network of linguists.

Vigdis Eriksen, the company’s CEO, recently commented on its strong history, continued performance, and future vision: they’ve come a long way since they founded the company, and they’re proud of its ability to grow and adapt while maintaining their core beliefs. They are grateful to have devoted, talented team members who share their vision and help each other achieve their goals. Their ambition is to continue providing value to their clients and make a good influence through their work as they move forward.

Eriksen Translations has been 100 % woman-owned and operated throughout its 35-year history. Clients who embrace diversity and inclusion and want to engage with today’s culturally and linguistically diverse population can count on the company to be a valuable partner. Eriksen has long-standing ties with primary financial services, law, health care, and education firms, nonprofits, premier museums and cultural organizations, and city and state agencies in New York.
