BALANCED Media Technology (BALANCED), has announced that the company has received the prestigious 2020 Emerging Company Innovation Award from Tech Titans. BALANCED’s HEWMEN technology has developed a new AI platform that combines gaming and distributed computing and human intelligence to improve. ML. HEWMEN subtly injected into existing or new computer games, to rectify the collected and marked data. Humans use gameplay to train and speed machine learning to produce much smaller data sets than traditional ML approaches. During interaction with games, players simultaneously react to data sources to solve complex issues or to help a computer vision algorithm “read” different images. These improvements can make use of smaller data sets, improve pipelines and improve the use of talent.

Corey Clark, Ph.D. CTO of BALANCED, was also the finalist of the 2020 CTO Award for Technology Management, Team building, Creative Environment and Market Awareness. Clark was awarded the Tech Titan Inventor Technology Award in 2019. He is also the Deputy Research Director of Southern Methodist University (SMU) Guildhall, and led the SMU team that developed the Literacy Instruction (LIFT) app, a non-profit literacy provider. It won $2.5 million in adult literacy XPRIZE competition organised by the Barbara Bush Foundation.
