The internet has amplified the need for meaningful photography,” says Vivek Kashyap

In an era characterised by fleeting attention spans and rapid-scrolling feeds, the importance of visual storytelling cannot be overstated. Photography, as an art form, has found a powerful ally in the Internet, where every image has the potential to reach millions. Vivek Kashyap, a visionary in the world of photography, reminds us that the rise of the Internet has not only democratised photography but also heightened the demand for images that resonate on a deeper, more meaningful level.

The photographer firmly believes that art can enrich our lives, and social media is the perfect tool for sharing art with the world. “Through social media, photography has become accessible to the masses, and now people from all corners of the world are trying to share their perspective via the images they click,” he says.

Vivek has always been a fan of conceptual photography, and he believes that the Internet is a powerful art medium in itself. “The Internet has amplified the need for meaningful photography,” he says, adding, “It’s not enough to simply take a beautiful photo. Now people are looking for something socially relevant and impactful, and that is where I think photography can really overpower.”

He feels that the Internet has allowed photographers to spotlight pressing issues, shedding light on social injustices, environmental concerns, and cultural nuances that might have otherwise gone unnoticed. Vivek says, “The visual impact of a well-composed photograph has the potential to spark conversations, drive empathy, and mobilise action.”

Vivek is an excellent photographer whose innovative vision has added to many people’s special days. He is the creative head of House on the Clouds, which is the leading agency in wedding filmmaking. As a photographer, he believes that social media has presented them with the responsibility to act as catalysts for change. “Our role is not just about capturing the images but also encouraging people to go beyond the surface and critically engage with the world around them,” he said.

Speaking of his work history, he has shot dreamlike pictures for Kiara Advani-Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor, Arpita Mehta-Kunal Rawal, and Alanna Panday-Ivor McCray’s wedding. Vivek has also pictured grand celebrations for brands like DLF Group, Jindal Group, and more. We wish him good luck with his upcoming projects.
