Following the USMNT’s removal of the Islamic Republic emblem from social media posts, Iran files a complaint with FIFA

After its Islamic Republic Emblem was removed from flags featured on the social media accounts of the USMNT, Iran has filed a complaint with FIFA.

On November 30, Iran and the United States will face off in a high-octane Group B matchup at the Al Thumama Stadium in Doha.

The Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran, as reported by the Iranian news agency IRNA, lodged a complaint with FIFA’s ethics committee.Additionally, the state media sought to exclude the United States from the World Cup.

The state-owned news agency reported on Sunday that “the Instagram page of the US football federation removed the Allah symbol from the Iranian flag in an unprofessional act.”

The US FA, in the mean time, said the banner seal was eliminated in fortitude with the Iranian ladies, who have been fighting for more than a month against the country’s administration after Mahsa Amini, 22, was confined by police for not wearing a headscarf. In police custody, she passed away.

It is unethical and against international law to act in relation to the Iranian flag. The US Football Association stated, “This is our decision, not anyone else’s or anyone else’s pressure.”

After Iran’s 2-0 victory over Wales on Friday and the USA’s goalless draw against England, the incident came to light.
