Summary: Assists Servers to ensure an exceptionally high level of service to guest and to interact with guests in a positive, professional manner with enthusiasm and sincerity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and other duties as assigned. Coordinates with the kitchen expediter as to which courses are being plated. Communicates with servers to ensure courses are delivered in a timely manner. Busses and sanitizes tables/chairs, changes linens, performs bread service and replenishes water. Anticipates and responds to guests' basic needs and requests in collaboration with server. Performs dining room set up and breakdown and completes side work. Assists with coffee and tea service. Attends daily line-up meetings with Manager/Chef Attends all venue training sessions to increase service knowledge Employs proper table etiquette and mechanics. Maintains all health codes and sanitation requirements. Adheres to CS Venue Hygiene and Grooming policy. Provide a guest experience that exceeds the guest's expectations. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities; however, it is expected that back waiter will work with other back waiters and servers in a team relationship with expediter, bussers and bar staff Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must have 1-3 years culinary experience. Must have and maintain current Alcohol Service certification from a recognized training organization Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 1-3 years experience in a food service establishment. Language Skills: Fluency in the English language: read, write, speak clearly and effectively. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, discounts. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: Basic operational understanding of POS system. Other Qualifications: Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Employees at on-mountain venues must be able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level, and pass company on-snow assessment. Physical Demands: Must be able to work effectively at altitude of 10,000 ft or above. Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.You must be able to ski or snowboard at intermediate level or above, and have your own equipment. You will have to pass an on-snow skills assessment before you will be able to work. Employment is contingent on passing this assessment.The wage range for this position is $9.54-14/hr. This position does have the ability to earn tips. Benefits include paid sick leave, ski pass, dependent passes (for full time commitment), discounted lift tickets, lift tickets at other CO resorts, discounted employee shuttles and discounted meals and lodging and ski school discounts
