The Adobe Restaurant is owned and operated by JDM Golf and serves breakfast, lunch and evening cocktails and snacks. We are located next to the Pro Shop at Arizona Biltmore Golf Club. Scope and Purpose: The Busser and Food Runner is an enthusiastic member of the team who serves patrons by setting tables, placing and replacing silverware, keeping beverage glasses full, adhering to sanitation and safety policies, clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and restaurant areas. The position helps maintain a smooth workflow between the kitchen and the tables. The goal is to make service faster and better and to help enhance the Adobes food and beverage quality and reputation. Essential Functions: Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift. Promptly greet patrons as they are seated and bring water and menus to the table. Clear tables as courses are finished and when patrons leave. Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing. Between settings promptly clean table tops, chairs, and booths. Check floor and clean as needed. Reset and arrange tabletop. Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the servers to the kitchen. Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority. Assist in the final preparation of dishes. Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature. Deliver orders to maintain fast service. Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning. Support other tasks as needed (e.g., telephone orders)Attend monthly and weekly staff meetings (including all safety meetings). Respond appropriately to guest requests and immediately communicate requests to server. Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and guest satisfaction. Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods. Thank guests as they are leaving and invite them to return. Work as a team player and offer assistance to co-workers whenever possible. Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash container liners, and bus stations. Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies. Comply with all food and beverage regulations. Comply with all JDM and Adobe policies and procedures in all circumstances. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be able to read, understand and communicate effective in English. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including effective listening and personable interaction with patrons. Ability to work under pressure and maintain exceptional service for patrons. Demonstrated working knowledge of food handling regulations. Physical Requirements: Constant standing, reaching, grasping, talking. Frequent bending, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work Environment: The work environment is typical of a restaurant with a bar area and with an outside patio seating area. When serving outdoors, the temperature and weather conditions of the work area are affected by outside conditions. The indoor restaurant and bar area is heated in the winter and cooled in the summer. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent certificate preferred but not required. Must have a current Food Handlers Card. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and varying schedules determined by business needs. Valid Arizona Drivers License.
