Candidates will ideally have at least 1 year of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.

Pay: $10/hr + tips

The Guinness Open Gate Brewery (or OGB for short) is the innovative and experimental arm of one of the world's most beloved breweries. The original location was opened to the public in 2015, on the Dublin site that had been home to Guinness's Product Research Unit, which was founded in 1904. BUSSER/FOOD RUNNER DESCRIPTION:

Bartenders are responsible for assisting the service team in exceeding the guest's expectations. Assist with barista duties as directed. Teamwork, organization, and awareness are important for success at this position.

BUSSER/FOOD RUNNER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Clean and reset tables and transfer dirty dishes to bus tubs, trays, and dish room.
  • Stock and restock appropriate areas of the restaurant with glassware and supplies
  • Effectively service a minimum of an 8 table section
  • Promptly deliver food to the correct guests according to table and position number
  • Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
  • Safely and effectively transport food and beverage to a table of 3 in a single trip
  • Safely and effectively move chairs, tables, high chairs, and boosters
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
  • Calmly and effectively perform more than one task in a busy and stressful work environment.
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels.
  • Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment which includes changing kegs
  • Be able to stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven and slick surfaces
  • Accessibility varies by location
Busser/Food Runner Key Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Being a team player.
  • Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and guests' needs are anticipated
  • Greet guests with a warm, sincere smile
  • Use tact and good judgement when dealing with guest challenges and respond to guest needs with patience and courtesy
  • Read and check each order for any special instructions and/or restrictions before taking it our of the kitchen
  • Confirm that each order has the appropriate presentation, plate ware, garnish, presentation, and necessary serving utensils before taking it out of the kitchen.
  • Work with the expeditor, chef, or manager with any food concerns
  • Assist service team with all food and beverage service
  • Safely and properly change beer kegs & CO2 tanks
  • Follow all steps of service
  • Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
  • Successfully complete alcohol awareness training as well as food service training
  • Ability to recognize an intoxicated guest, refuse to overserve guests and seek out management with any concerns about a guest that appears intoxicated
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed
  • Must be at least 18 years old
