Business Unit: Summit House, Rafters

Position Reports to: On Mountain F&B General Manager / Supervisor/ Restaurant Manager

Location: Crystal Mountain, Washington

Wage Range: This position is paid $20.00 / hr + tip out

JOB SUMMARY

Bussers assist the wait staff and bartenders at food & beverage venues by cleaning tables, taking plates, utensils and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed, making sure diners' water glasses are full, and reset tables for the next service. Bussers might help servers bring food out to a table, restock utensils, napkins and other dining room needs. Bussers are not the front line of food service, but customer attentiveness and a neat appearance are still necessary. Bussers allow servers to focus on the diners and make sure that food and drinks come out in a speedy manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Customer Service: A friendly, relaxed demeanor, courteousness and quick service will help you get repeat customers.
  • Stamina: Expect long, busy days on your feet. You also might need to lift heavy objects like trash bags, kegs, or pallets of stock.
  • Teamwork: You will be working with servers, hosts, bartenders and cooks to make a great dining experience. Being a team player is essential.
KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
