POSITION SUMMARY

Supervises the Pre-Ski School's daily operations for children 2-4 years old; Maintaining at all times the highest level of child-centric experience for our guests while supporting staff in doing the same. Ability to flex into Kid's Night Out & other children's specialty programming as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Program Development: Responsible for developing lesson plans
  • Working with the Food & Beverage Division to order daily lunches
  • Serves food/drink for lunches and breaks
  • Ensuring adequate supplies are available
  • Holds staff meetings activities, special needs, assign responsibilities, etc.
  • Staff Supervision: Responsible for scheduling employees too adequately cover staffing needs.
  • Responsible for training staff and ensuring a high level of professionalism is displayed by all team members
  • Responsible for recognizing good performance with rewards and incentives, and for disciplining poor performance according to company policy.
  • Guest Service: Responsible for handling any guest complaints regarding programming or staffing.
  • Record Keeping: Ensures proper collection and filing of all paperwork for registration, check-in, and checkout.
  • Accurately records in detail all incidents and keeps records organized.
  • Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment: Responsible for ensuring that the premises are in a clean, neat, and safe condition for all activities.
  • Responsible for submitting bi-weekly facility analysis forms to Safety Services.
  • Financial Performance: Responsible for monitoring and controlling programming expenses (payroll, COGS, operating supplies, etc.) and ensuring the financial success of the program as a whole.
  • Contributes to team effort by assisting in other areas of big top on an as needed basis.
  • Accomplishing related results as needed
  • Ensures children are comfortable and happy
  • Helps with bathroom breaks & diaper changes
  • Assists children with minor accidents ex: bathroom accidents, minor scrapes and bruises
  • Makes minor adjustments or repairs to clothing
  • Helps children dress for outside weather
  • Performs housekeeping duties in pre-ski school
  • Participates and/or instructs children in games and activities
  • Organizes lunch
  • Working with the Food & Beverage Division to order daily lunches
  • Serves food/drink for lunches and breaks
  • Ensuring adequate supplies are available
  • Assists with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Helping guests fill out appropriate paperwork/waivers
  • Ensures children are adequately prepared for the day
  • Escorts children to designated activities
  • Performs basic RTP computer functions such as: checking inventory and closing open orders
  • Serves as an ambassador for the resort, being knowledgeable about resort facilities and products
  • Additional duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience: At least 18 Months Experience in a related field and at least 1 year experience working in a supervisory capacity

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

First Aid and CPR Certification is required

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Position may require occasional overnight or day travel. Any employee or volunteer who operates a company vehicle including cars, trucks, snowcats, snowmobiles, or heavy equipment is required to comply with the Driver's Standards Policy. This policy also applies to employees or volunteers driving their personal vehicles for company business more than four times per month, averaging 30+ miles per trip. All drivers should receive a full copy of the Alterra Driver's Standards Policy; if you have not - please contact your Risk/Safety or HR/EE Department.

Office Environment:
  • This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
