FULL-TIME Server - Senior Care Community Dining Server - GET AN OFFER ON THE SPOT!

The Senior Care Community Food Servers are responsible for service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the Assisted Living and Memory Care dining areas and in-room dining. Tips & gratuities are not permitted in these settings per state licensing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete set up of the dining area in preparation for meal periods and events, including arranging and setting tables, stocking supplies, ensuring condiments are neat, clean and refreshed.
  • Keep floor, table tops, and furniture neat, clean, and sanitized.
  • Keep furniture neatly arranged.
  • Greet residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Provide menus, and explain any specials.
  • Take beverage and food orders from residents and visitors
  • Communicate with the culinary staff, ensuring dietary restrictions are adhered to.
  • Deliver food and beverages accurately to Assisted Living and Memory Care residents, guests, and visitors.
  • Monitor beverages and refreshes them as needed throughout the meal.
  • Ensure that the pace of the dining experience meets the needs of the diners, visiting the table to address any additional diner needs.
  • Clear dishes, glassware, and silverware as needed, transport them to the dish room, scrapes plates, and places them in designated spaces in preparation for washing.
  • Return dish bin, as needed.
  • Communicate feedback from diners to the Lead Server.
  • Assist Lead Server with any assignments or work requests throughout the meal period.
  • Participate in other professional development activities, as required.
  • Attend taste panel meetings daily with culinary staff to be briefed on descriptions of menu items and sample specials and new menu items.
  • Report any suspicion or evidence of elder abuse, mistreatment or neglect.
  • Operate the dishwashing machine and wash dishes manually, as needed.
  • Assist in cleaning the kitchen, as needed.
  • Any tasks assigned, as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Able to speak, read and write in English.
  • One (1) year of experience in food & beverage in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting.
  • Experience with care and supervision for elders and seniors (6 months or more experience in health care preferred).
  • Physical requirements include but are not limited to: able to lift up to 60 lbs., push/pull up to 40 lbs., carry up to 30 lbs., frequent standing and walking required
  • Trained in safe food handling techniques and sanitation, ServSafe Card required.
  • Ability to follow basic instructions and carry out assignments independently.
  • Ability to interface appropriately with other staff, residents, family members, visitors and outside contractors.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including and not limited to: weekends, evenings, holidays, and/or events.
  • Own a smart phone (for schedule updates and communication).
  • Possess a means of reliable transportation.
