This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, Raceways & more.Since 2018, Proof of the Pudding is the exclusive premium catering and concessions partner with Informa U.S. Boat and Yacht Shows for five major events in Florida - Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, St Pete Power and Sailboat Show, Miami International Boat Show, Palm Beach International Boat Show, and the Suncoast Boat Show.This is seasonal/part-time work as business needs are dictated by events.Essential duties and responsibilitiesMaintains a clean kitchen, properly washes, and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.Properly washes, stacks, and stores China, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by EcoLab.Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries.Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.Assist with maintaining and organizing China and warehouse.Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties.Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed. Performs other related duties as required.QualificationsEducation and/or Experience:High School diploma or equivalent preferred 1+ year of experience working in a kitchen or as a steward is preferred, experience in customer service role is preferred.ServSafe Certified preferred.Live within or near Ft. Lauderdale, Florida preferred.Specialized Qualifications:Planning and multi-taskingMust be a phenomenal team-player and self-motivated with a high energy level.Flexibility to work events, weekends, nights, and holidays.Ability to follow directions and work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.Work Environment The work environment for this position will be event operations and working out of the Yacht/Boat or similar venues. This position will often move throughout different terrains. Uniform Requirements Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.Non-slip shoes are required.Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of moving through kitchen, coolers, and storage spaces. Traveling throughout the event space in different terrains. Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to lifting up-to 30 pounds at times.
