Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities Provides direct oversight and program management of the grab and go food operations aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Reporting directly to the Director, Food and Hospitality, general duties will include the performance of complex food concept management functions in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines. Serves as technical analyst in the development, planning, training, managing, and oversight of the specialized area. Participates in the development, execution, and compliance of policy, operating and financial standards, marketing promotions, facility design, food concepts, and training programs. Identifies and recommends changes in operating procedures where necessary to ensure desired results are obtained. Using technical skills and knowledge, analyzes current installation food programs, facilities and equipment, personnel abilities, and financial results of operation and offers recommendations for change and improvements. Other major duties and responsibilities will include the development, coordination, and execution of all special events. Conducts the financial analysis and ensures the events are aligned with the goals and missions of the command. Partners with Marketing to create messaging via electronic, banners, social media, to promote the events to attract high volume of attendees. Coordinates advance site visits, food and beverage planning, staffing schedules, and logistical requirements of the events Develops alliances and associations with national, regional, and manufacture name brand and other Services' in-house food concepts. Acts as the authority on the implementation of food brand licensing policies. Coordinates and provides direction to match the most fitting commercial food concept with the local installation's requirements. Identifies training requirements among installation food and beverage program personnel. Develops or facilitates specialized food and beverage training programs to meet these requirements and for conferences, workshops, and seminars. Prepares and delivers briefings and instruction. Serves as the Marine Corps representative to working groups, meetings, and inter service gatherings. Attends trade shows, seminars and workshops to maintain currency in techniques, procedures, and industry trends. Adapts new ideas and concepts within the Marine Corps program. Develops correspondence, reports, various papers, operating instructions, manuals, guidebooks, and other items as needed. Provides meaningful connections through customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications Four years of work experience in the commercial food and beverage industry that demonstrates the knowledge of business practices, program management, financial principles, branded concepts, and administration procedures. Must have the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of policies, procedures, promotions, and installation programs. Must be willing to travel. Must possess oral and written communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field or equivalent experience is desired. Current driver's license is required.
