WHAT WE NEED

This role is to ensure food products received and released meet regulatory, customer and third-party standards. Ensure product labeling and process submissions are in line with applicable regulations per countries, and customer guidelines. Ensure compliance to federal, state, customer, internal, and third-party certifying requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide subject matter expertise for regulatory compliance and food labeling.
  • Support preserved identity programs including document submissions and internal/external document processes (electronic and manual).
  • Maintain physical and electronic records in accordance with BRF standards and record retention policy.
  • Support vendor management system for internal documentation and customer connections.
  • Ensures that all of the products that ship outside of the country have the appropriate documentation and meet the requirements of the country of import.
  • Support customer requested food safety/quality and regulatory documentation.
  • Support plants' readiness for regulatory, preserved identity, and other audits.
  • Maintain data integrity of departmental business systems.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required Education/Experience:

  • A minimum of three (3+) years of related experience (food safety, food quality or nutrition)
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, or related preferred.
  • HACCP and/or PCQI certification considered in lieu of degree

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, regulatory labeling and reporting regulations required.
  • Ability to interpret data, understand process capability, and relate it to customer specifications
  • Self-starter and disciplined. Motivated to do your best work each day. A continuous learning and improvement mindset is a must. There are many opportunities to learn and develop at BRF, but the individual needs to be motivated to engage in those opportunities.
  • Team player and constructive conflict management skills are key skills for success. The ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations is also essential.
  • Willingness to offer suggestions on ways to improve assigned work.
  • Ability to follow and implement written or oral instructions.
  • Due to SQF regulations, all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language.

At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, and is determined within a range.

The base pay range for this role is between $65,000 and $75,000 annually. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
