Job Summary:The food service assistant manager works in support of the store management team to facilitate the completion of all store level tasks and performs a variety of tasks related to different areas of the store including, but not limited to food preparation, possible cash register tasks, customer service, general housekeeping and other related functions. The food service assistant manager ensures an exceptional customer experience that supports our purpose to "Leave 'em Better". Essential Functions:Reliable transportationAbide by all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations/certifications.Be reliable, punctual, honest, and have a good attitude.Excellent customer service skills.Good verbal communication skills.Ability to operate cooking and food preparation equipment.Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation procedures.Knowledgeable about company's products and services, and customer-related policies.Ability to train other team members on company policies, practices, and proceduresAbility to lead and supervise other team members effectively.Responsible for all store operations while on-duty in the absence of the Food Service Manager.Additional Responsibilities:Embrace being a team player and communicate well with others.Multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Complete guest-centered duties and provide our guests with a clean environment.Greets customers as they enter the location.Prepares and serves foods such as tacos, chicken, and sides according to customer specifications.Provides menu information and suggestions to customers including food suggestions and explanations of ingredients and preparation methods.Assists with food preparation as directed, operating food production equipment as required to complete tasks.Operates grill, broiler, or deep-fat fryer to prepare specific fast foods.Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes work stations.Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers and returns to appropriate location in the kitchen area.Refills condiments or other supplies.Follows all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service.Performs other related duties as assigned.Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goalsEnsure the proper execution of all assigned store level marketing programs.Assists the food service manager in all aspects of leading and managing the facility.Replenish products and supplies to ensure in stock conditions at all times.Check in external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.Be an example of consistency and professionalism for all team membersAbility to clearly perform and coach others in the expectations of all positions within the store.Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resource.Qualifications: Experience, Competencies, and EducationEducation and Experience:Customer relationship experience is requiredSuccessful completion of on-the-job training.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 poundsProlonged periods standing and walking.May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.May be required work in excessive heat and cold in association with the kitchen environment.Competencies:Patience and expertise that is required to direct and conduct training.Basic computer skills with the ability to operate multiple devices.Possess the desire and ability to understand various computer software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and word.Have a good understanding of the register systems, troubleshooting, and the back office software.Benefit Opportunities:Free work uniformsFree fountain drinks up to 32 oz, while on the clockDaily Pay PartnerHealth, dental, vision, disability, life, and critical Illness insurance plans are availableEligibility based on average weekly hours worked and tenureVacation, Holiday and Bereavement leave.Eligibility based on average weekly hours worked and tenure401K Retirement planEligibility after 90 days of employment
