The Role Special Team Lead Produce - Your quest for inspiring new food experiences with the gift of FRESH produce begins here! As Dom's Kitchen & Market Special Team Lead Produce you will assist the Special Team Captain Produce with a team of Produce professionals committed to sharing with Dom's Kitchen & Market guests the amazing flavors of new culinary adventures that FRESH Produce will deliver! As the Special Team Lead Produce, you will assist leading Dom's Kitchen & Market dynamic Produce team dedicated to delivering Talk of the Town Guest Service! Responsibilities Dom's Kitchen & Market Special Team Lead Produce will assist the Special Team Captain Produce in oversight of the Produce Department and assist with accountability for total Produce that merges your love for people - both team members and guests - with operational excellence. You will be: Expected in the absence of the Special Team Captain Produce to lead the Produce operation Measured and rewarded by your ability to assist in delivering Talk of the Town Guest Service, driving optimal Produce teams' performance, maintaining Produce operations, achieving financial targets Accountable for the extraordinary experience of your team and your guests Responsible for engaging conversations with guests and ensure each guest receives an extraordinary Talk of the Town guest experience Focused on driving sales through technical expertise, industry knowledge and innovative merchandising Expected to assist in successfully training, developing, retaining, mentoring and motivating Dom's Kitchen & Market first-class Produce team leading to inspired Produce teamwork creating an inviting atmosphere for guests Expected to assist with work duties across the Produce department including cross-training of team members Challenged daily with Produce team to provide world class FRESH conditions and presentations including In-Stock, In-Code, temperature checks, culling and crispening, product rotation, COOL compliance Accountable for supporting schedules for the Produce team for maximum productivity and high standards of quality that align to business needs and budgeted labor goals Accountable in absence of Special Team Captain Produce for appropriate Produce sales forecasting, planning, ordering, sales floor inventory levels Responsible for assisting food production, recipes are followed, food prep is technically accurate within budgeted ingredient cost goals, follow controls to minimize food and supply waste and appropriate repurposing of food waste Responsible to assist with receiving of product, invoice accuracy, vendor commitments, vendor backstock Accountable for backroom and cooler logistics including minimal inventory levels, freshness dates and organization of product and supplies Responsible that the high standards of Food Safety and Sanitation are maintained at all times throughout Produce sales floor, cooler and backroom including regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tables, cases and shelves with organization and sanitation of all backrooms, food prep areas and supplies Listening for the Voice of the Guest to identify Produce department trends for guest needs and expectations and counsel with Coaching Assistant to integrate findings to deliver value and accelerate growth Open to learning and growing for personal development Empowered to deliver with your Produce team the transformative shopping experience that Dom's Kitchen & Market will be legendary for! Qualifications 1+ years' leader experience in Produce retail Excellent communication, organizational and planning skills Food Safety Certification preferred Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making and financial analysis Advanced computer skills Sense of urgency, time management, prioritization and multitasking skills Detail oriented Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays Availability must reflect the needs of the business, which may change from time to time Strong sense of team - desire to WIN together with a first-class team!
