Manager of Slot Operations

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Manager of Slot Operations is responsible for overseeing day-to-day slot operations to ensure an exceptional gaming experience for patrons while maximizing revenue. This leadership role requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team of slot attendants, technicians, and other operational staff.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a skilled team of slot attendants
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development to ensure a high-performing and motivated team
  • Ensure all slot machines are properly maintained, calibrated, and promptly repaired to minimize downtime, protect Company funds, and maximize player satisfaction
  • Stay updated on local, state, and federal gaming regulations, ensuring full compliance in all aspects of slot operations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for regulatory audits and reporting, including, but not limited to, jackpot slips, buy slips, fill slips, and W2G's
  • Monitor player feedback and implement improvements to enhance the overall gaming experience
  • Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for slot operations, including expenditures related to maintenance, staffing, and equipment upgrades
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement strategies
  • Work closely with security and surveillance departments to ensure the integrity of slot machines and prevent cheating or fraud
  • Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard the casino's assets and maintain a secure gaming environment
  • Stay informed about industry advancements in slot machine technology, player tracking systems, and data analytics to drive operational efficiency and revenue growth
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with external vendors and other casino departments, including finance, marketing, and operations, to ensure a cohesive guest experience
  • Address and resolve operational challenges, customer complaints, and technical issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Always maintain a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with customers and members; Some interactions will require a level of discretion and confidentiality whenever possible
  • Deliver and maintain a maximum level of customer service while coaching their team to do the same
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three (3) years of experience in slot operations in a leadership capacity, preferably for a large-scale luxury resort/casino
  • Must have a broad knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and procedures affecting the casino industry, with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data to make informed decisions
  • Working knowledge of Title 31 compliance
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Fontainebleau appearance standards
  • Maintain consistent adherence to Fontainebleau customer service standards
  • Ability to clearly present information through the spoken or written word; speak with customers or Members, listen effectively
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of service delivery; to do what is necessary to ensure customer satisfaction, deal with service shortfalls, and prioritize customer or client needs
  • Ability to be tactful and polite, maintain confidences, and foster an ethical work environment; handle all situations with sincerity
  • Exhibit enthusiasm and promote a positive group working environment, work closely with other departments as necessary; support group decisions and display team spirit
  • Working knowledge of all NGCB rules, regulations, and Internal Controls
  • Must communicate effectively and openly with superiors, subordinates, and external constituencies
  • Must possess sound business judgment, a high degree of personal motivation, and a very strong work ethic
  • Prior opening experience preferred
  • Prior experience working in a luxury property preferred
  • Experience with various casino management systems preferred
  • Ability to provide leadership and direction contributing to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will oversee the slot shift managers and slot guest service representatives (GSRs).

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Member is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls. The Member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.


The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

SALARY

$88000 per year - $103000 per year
