Job Title: Host/Hostess
Department: Food and Beverage
Classification: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY:
It is the responsibility of the Host/Hostess to greet guests as the enter the outlet, take reservations if needed, show the guest to their table and provide menus. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet guests in a friendly manner
- Seat guests and provide menus
- Answering phone calls, take reservations as needed, answer guests' questions.
- Knowledge of menu items.
- Attends pre-shift meetings.
- Maintains uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
- Welcomes guests, removes extra set-ups, and serves water to guests.
- Assists Food Server as needed.
- Assists with maintaining a neat, clean, and safe working environment.
- Turns-over/Takes-over station according to established procedure.
- Completes special projects as requested by Food & Beverage management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Minimum age requirement is 18 years old.
- Health card is required
- Must have great people skills, a clean and well-groomed appearance, and to be respectful of everyone.
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Experience preferred but will train willing individual.
Basic Math Skills.
Language Skills:
Must be able to speak and understand English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Constantly standing, eye/hand coordination, handling, wrist motion, hearing, speaking, seeing, reading, and bending.
- Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
- Constantly lifting and carrying trays up to a maximum of 15lbs. at mid body level, for distances up to a maximum of 500 ft. during shift.
- Frequently stooping, reaching.
- Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
- Work with others in close spaces.
- Moderate noise levels.
- Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.
