Breakfast and Lunch Servers are expected to give service that is approachable, energetic, knowledgeable, and thoughtful while upholding standards of 192 at The Blake. The nature of this job requires a highly motivated, committed, and skilled individual who can work with a team in a fast-paced environment to achieve customer satisfaction.

This job description is intended to be a broad description of duties. You will be expected to carry out all responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient, friendly, and thoughtful service at all times.
  • Follow checklists and other guidelines for opening and closing duties.
  • Provide table service including taking orders, answering questions about menu items, delivering food to tables, and clearing tables after guest departure.
  • Execute service standards for presentation, delivery of food and beverage, and service based on training.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of and practice responsible alcohol service.
  • Communicate supply needs to appropriate management when running low.
  • Pleasant and frequent interactions with guests.
  • Miscellaneous tasks include but are not limited to cleaning, sweeping floors, stocking products, restocking glassware, and rolling silverware.
  • Respond to any guest requests or issues by communicating with the appropriate staff.
  • Recite basic knowledge about menus, breakfast and lunch menu items, and the resort.
  • Assist in execution of special events hosted at 192 at The Blake when requested.
  • Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed here, as requested by management at any time.

Qualifications & Knowledge:
  • Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handler Certification upon hire.
  • Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification upon hire.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant or guest service preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of guest service.
  • Ability to communicate in a positive and productive manner while on duty.
  • Ability to work early mornings.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
Work Environment:

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions. Wet surfaces may exist and sharp objects may be located throughout the work area.

Physical Demands of Position Include:

Will often lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Background Check:

Positions dealing with children, of safety sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
