This posting is for salaried savory and pastry/bakery culinary roles at the Sous Chef, Chef and Chef de Cuisine level. The Culinary team at the Disneyland Resort (DLR) and Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts (WDW) creates unforgettable dining experiences for Guests from around the world. Here, you can use your skills in our fast-paced environment supporting everything from Quick Service, Table/Casual Service, Catering/Banquets and Fine Dining

Examples include:

  • Quick Service- Trader Sam's (DLR), Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café (WDW)
  • Table/Casual Service Restaurants- Blue Bayou (DLR), Be Our Guest (WDW)
  • Catering / Banquets - supports everything from intimate wedding receptions to large corporate events
  • Fine Dining-Napa Rose (DLR), Citricos (WDW)
  • Pastry/Baking (DLR), Amorette's Patisserie (WDW)
Along with culinary techniques and providing leadership in the kitchen, our Culinary team is always looking for ways to add a pinch of pixie dust and a dash of magic. You will:
  • Lead a team of culinary professionals
  • Provide leadership, support, motivation and development of Cast Members
  • Create a positive and professional environment that encourages ownership and accountability
  • Ensure consistent production and excellent presentation of well-prepared, flavorful food.
  • Show your creativity - Assist in the creation and development of unique food offerings that provide our Guests with a variety of selections
  • Provide exceptional Guest service
  • Ensure the safety of our Guest and Cast - Enforce operational compliance to Walt Disney Parks & Resorts (WDP&R) Standards, Loss Prevention Standards with adherence to State Laws
  • Collaborate with key partners- Maintain good partnerships with the front-of-the-house team as well as strategic partners to provide a seamless Guest experience
You will have the following:
  • Minimum 5 years culinary experience for a Sous Chef
  • Minimum 7 years culinary experience for a Chef
  • Minimum 10 years culinary experience for a Chef de Cuisine
  • Have the cooking skill and knowledge to cook for various styles of Cuisine with exceptional taste and presentation ability
  • Proven ability to use cooking skills in the creation of menus that meet the dietary needs and trends of Guests
  • Desire to motivate and mentor Cast Members, with the ability to navigate and lead amidst constant change
  • Commitment to diversity and encourage an inclusive work environment that supports workforce diversity and diverse perspectives
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with direct reports and strategic partners
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proven computer skills
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter and initiator
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
It would be great if you have:
  • Previous experience in a volume restaurant or hotel
  • Previous experience in table service and quick service restaurants
  • Knowledge of industry trends and practical business applications
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and procure superior products in the development of quality menu items
  • Multi-Lingual skills
Required Education :
  • High School degree or equivalent

Sous Chef/Pastry Sous Chef

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $77,080 to $103,400 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Chef/Pastry Chef

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $94,000 to $113,300 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Chef de Cuisine

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $109,000 to $150,260 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
