Quality and Food Safety Manager

In the role of Quality & Food Safety Manager, it's more than just a job title. It's the heart of what we do. This role encompasses responsibility within the Pilot Plant for Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Sanitation functions. Driving results through continuous adherence and improvement of the facility's Food Safety Plans, including Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and prerequisite programs foundational to HACCP.

With your owner's mindset in Quality & Food Safety, we will be able to work together to ensure that incoming materials and products produced are safe, wholesome, and of good quality through the establishment and maintenance of food safety and quality auditing procedures and programs. You will be directly involved with the manufacturing team, R&D, the plant quality department, plant leadership and plant employees.

HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Quality and Food Safety Leader - You will be leading quality, food safety, and sanitation programs for some of our well-loved brands. You will ensure that the Business Unit meets all required quality & food safety laws, regulations, and corporate policies including Master Sanitation schedule cleaning. You will have a focus on continuous improvement and drive a high degree of operational management and execution for all our products.
  • Plant Partnerships - You will partner closely with others in the Business Unit for program implementations and best practices. Just as important is your collaboration with the Business Unit leadership team and other plant employees by ensuring compliance and identifying quality & food safety risks.
  • Audits - You'll take particular care in maintaining high standards, internally and externally. You will be participating, as well as leading, the coordination, preparation, and corrective action management for Quality and Food Safety issues.
  • Certifications + Training - You will develop and execute the Food Safety Programs to achieve Internal MQFS, SQF, Organic and Non-GMO Certifications. You'll have primary responsibility for execution of quality and food safety training programs, monitoring effectiveness, retention, and knowledge application.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 3+ years' experience in demonstrated quality & food safety experience in a manufacturing environment
  • HACCP certified
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable regulations, GMP and Food Safety standards in accordance with the FDA, USDA, CFIA, etc.
  • Strong auditing and assessment skills
  • Strong technical and software knowledge
  • People and process management experience
