Who we are
We're Vibrant Coffeehouse & Kitchen, and we have some strong opinions about coffee (and kitchens). First: We make an amazing cup of coffee because we roast the beans ourselves. Second: While we've certainly waited in line for 45 minutes to get an amazing cup of coffee (or an energy drink), we like it better when we don't have to. Third: We'll put 20 packets of Splenda in a guest's tea if they really want it, but we're happy to make other recommendations when asked. Fourth: Biscuits and gravy look terrible on Instagram, but they sure taste good.
Who you are
You love coffee shops so much that you almost feel guilty for getting paid to spend time in one. (Stop feeling guilty, you're totally worth it!) You are ready to defend your stances on flavored syrups, whether a taco is a sandwich, and which type of milk produces the best froth. And you're looking for a flexible schedule because you have school, family obligations, another job, or a bad habit of falling down Wikipedia rabbit holes.
Summary
This position is responsible for leading all team members in the efficient and profitable operations of the Coffeehouse. The Coffeehouse Manager will manage day-to-day store operations while maintaining high standards, fostering a positive environment and providing fast, efficient and friendly service.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage all Coffeehouse leads and crew members
Ensure proper team member coverage and schedule according to the needs of the business while maintaining target labor costs
Interact with customers frequently to build relationships, promote coffeehouse products, and set example for staff on exceptional customer service
Identify staffing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training needs of qualified candidates
Facilitate on-going training and development of current staff
Maintain staff job results by coaching, counseling, and discipling employees as needed
Ensure that all team members are educated on Coffeehouse products and merchandise
Perform all POS duties including opening and closing procedure
Maintain inventory, order supplies and equipment, communicate with and hold vendors accountable
Keep GM and upper management informed on inventory needs, employee needs, and customer needs
Monitor individual store profitability by balancing sales goals with overall expense management
Responsible for oversight and management of operations consistent to the overall experience, health and safety standards
Promotes and practices safe work habits, identifying and resolving potential safety hazards, operational inconsistencies and any team member or customer incidents
Maintain required food handling certification
Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Perform all duties of barista or shift lead as needed including taking customer orders, food and drink preparation, and stocking/cleaning duties

Experience and Skills: Required Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficient on a computer, familiar with Microsoft Office programs
Well organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask
Effective problem solving/decision making abilities
Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required. College degree preferred
Two to three years food service management required
