This is a part-time, non-benefitted position that requires you to work 19 hours or less each week.
Job Summary
This position provides mealtime related support to the children and staff of the center. The successful employee effectively cleans and sanitizes food spaces, and prepares meals for the children at their regulated times.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains order and cleanliness in the Center kitchen.
- Cleans and sanitizes dishes and surfaces on a daily basis.
- Utilizes own transportation to retrieve prepared meals from USM campus and returns empty food transport containers.
- Dishes and serves prepared food and place settings to each classroom.
- Completes food inventory and receives new food orders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma. The ability to obtain TummySafe foodservice certification.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of basic food safe practices.
Be detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in foodservice. TummySafe foodservice certification.
