Solid organizational and people skills are essential to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. KEY TASKS Restaurant Operations Continuously provide exceptional service to guests by being friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Greets guests professionally and with a warm welcome. Assists guests to their table and follows steps of service. Schedule/review all reservations, planned seating arrangements with lead host prior to dinner service, and remains attuned to wait times, ensuring a smooth night. Take orders over the phone for takeout, enter orders in aloha correctly, check for food to be ready, check to make sure food was made correctly before handing to guest Adheres to safety and sanitation procedures. Completes assigned side-work to ensure shift readiness Communication Speak with others using clear and professional language. Effectively listen and respond timely to guest needs. Additional Responsibilities Ability to site to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period. Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Ability to reach overhead and below knees including but not limited to bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Have the flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Any other reasonable request/duty made by your supervisor. KEY CHARACTERISTICS Be a team player with a can-do attitude to exceed guest expectations. Create positive memorable experiences that build guest loyalty. Genuine and authentic within all interactions. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Detail orientated with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while remaining responsive to the needs of the company/team. KEY EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Must be 16 years of age or older, RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS Previous fine dining experience preferred but not required. Food Handlers Certification. SYSTEMS KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of Aloha, Hot Schedules and Open Table preferred but not required.
