Bunkhouse is expanding our IT team and looking for an Area Manager, Hotel Technology to help us with current and new technology projects!

Position Summary:

Under the general guidance of the Director, Hotel Technology, the Area Manager, Hotel Technology is responsible for supporting and executing the company s technology needs with our growing portfolio of hotel and restaurant operations. The Area Manager, Hotel Technology works with Operations team and IT vendors to solve technology-related problems. This individual demonstrates a strong understanding of guest challenges and opportunities related to the hospitality industry. The Area Manager, Hotel Technology is responsible for assisting the Director, Hotel Technology in the execution of technology support, operations, procedures, asset management and overall technology customer satisfaction.

The Area Manager, Hotel Technology must have excellent communication skills, the ability to resolve conflict, and a thorough understanding of Bunkhouse policies. A Area Manager, Hotel Technology must develop and maintain the company s culture, values and reputation in the public eye and with all staff, guests, vendors and partners.

We're looking for someone with:
Great Interpersonal communication abilities
Excellent numeric, literacy and keyboard skills.
Fluency in Office 365 and Microsoft Office
Experience with Oracle Opera PMS, Oracle Micros Simphony POS and other hotel systems
Deep knowledge of network, infrastructure and telecommunications
A+ and Network+ certification preferred
Basic cabling and rack maintenance preferred

Job Responsibilities / Duties:
Coordinates with MSP for onsite support and administration of:
User accounts and access of Microsoft environment (Active Directory, MS Exchange/Outlook, MS Office)
Escalated tickets
Completes on-site work and support for IT infrastructure between MSP and associated IT vendor(s):
o Carrier, internet/WiFi, phones
o Property management systems (PMS)
o Point of Sale (POS)

Performs on-site computer, printer, network and communications equipment support and maintenance
Manages servers and networking equipment in MDF and IDFs
Requires strong TCP/IP skills and provisioning of VLANs
Schedules and performs regular data and systems back-up
Secures physical access to computer rooms and other relevant areas in accordance with company policies
Ensures security of data, network access and backup systems
Attends meetings as coordinated by General Manager(s) and Bunkhouse IT Director
Identifies needs for major repair, and or investment and makes recommendations to GM
Assists IT Director with annual budget guidelines and controlling costs while maintaining a secure and resilient IT environment
Maintaining correct user count
Maintaining correct inventory

Assists with creation / changes to interface from POS to financials/inventory/Payroll and Accounting departments
Works with IT manager, hotel operations and vendor(s) to manage changes property IT systems prior to implementation
Ensures documentation, manuals and procedures are created and updated
Contributes to the cost-effective operation of the company by administering to IT functions within budgetary guidelines
Participates in projects and business process reviews where required
Embraces changes in your function as dictated by the industry, company and property
Anticipates and undertakes any reasonable tasks and secondary duties required before anyone asks
Helps to cover IT emergency support outside normal business hours

Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position. This person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Furthermore, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision.

Working Conditions/Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, typical of a hotel/restaurant/office setting
The person in this position may have to lift/carry up to fifty (50) pounds on a daily basis; anything over fifty (50) pounds is considered a minimum two (2) person lift
The person having this position may have to remain stationary for one (1) hour, move about/traverse property spaces, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for up to eight (8) hours per day

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
