Required Qualifications:

-At least two years of experience in the kitchen, either in pantry or on the line.

-Excellent knife skills, and confidence slicing fish.

-Speed and accuracy when shucking oysters

-Able to work independently, and use time wisely, i.e. getting ahead on prep or cleaning during quiet moments.

-Able to stay calm and cool under pressure during busier moments.

-Proven strength working and communicating within a team.

-Curiosity and a willingness to learn new techniques and cuisines.

-Must be able to climb stairs (our restaurant is on two different floors), stand for long periods of time, and lift up to forty pounds.

-Must be fully vaccinated against COVID or be willing to get tested weekly.

Helpful, but not required:

-Experience working with sushi or other crudo preparations.

-Knowledge of the Italian language.

This position pays $16-$18.50/ hour D.O.E. plus a percentage of the Service Charge paid out as a Bonus on top of wages. Additionally, Crudo & Cotto offers one week of vacation pay after 1 year of employment, and Medical Benefits to all employees who work 22.5 hours or more per week after 60 days of employment.
