Required Skills and Abilities:

-At least two to three (2-3) years of previous experience in hotel catering sales management required

-Previous experience in catering or related food service industry

-Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

-Extensive knowledge of Food and Beverage etiquette, guest relations and service standards.

-Strong interpersonal skills to assess client needs, negotiate pricing, effectively deal with internal and external guests and provide overall guest satisfaction

Job Description:

-Direct and indirect solicitation, conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients for annual, week day and weekend business

-Up-sell products and services, closing the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs

-Develop client menus, write contracts and letters, in relation to social and corporate events

-Organize detailed requirements of each function and service all events.

-Assign meeting rooms set up based on needs of clients, e.g., classroom, rounds.

-Monitor in house group activity and provide assistance for event set up.

-Attend BEO meetings to discuss details of events and set up requirements
