The client entrusted Ingenious e-Brain with a study on “formulations and compositions using DHA sunless tanning”. The client wanted to launch a new product into this segment and was looking out For evaluating the risk of potential infringement and avoid subsequent litigation.
Our Solution
Our team performed an in-depth analysis of relevant patents and product through patent databases, non-patent literature, product brochures, articles, blogs and other secondary sources published in the last 20 years. The study involved keyword searches on different databases, in specific jurisdictions as proposed by the client. The data was further assorted into relevant patents with our in-house patent analytics tool and identified relevant products for the client to review. All the relevant results obtained were then analysed in detail under specific taxonomy headers to formulate the results of FTO.
The Impact
Our analysis helped the client identify the products and formulations that use DHA as Sunless Tanning Agent with alternatives and loopholes to enter into the market utilizing DHA sunless tanning agent. It also provided various solutions for venturing into this domain without any restrictions. The study also enlisted the top players that have active and pending patents in the field for licensing opportunities for the client and player whose patents have expired or going to expire.
