‘The Twist’ by Bjarke Ingels Group opens in Norway

A new unique building by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) called ‘the twist’ has opened. Marking the first ever project of the firm in Norway, the building is nestled in the Kistefos- northern Europe’s largest sculptural park. While the building inhabits a museum, it is much more than that. It is part bridge, part museum and part sculpture. Connecting the two ends of a river, the museum transitions from a vertical gallery to a horizontal one with panoramic views of the park, resulting into a twisted form making it a sculpture within.
