These companies are focused on investing in capacity expansions and have the potential to broaden their product portfolios and compete with other key market players. 

Profflex Mounting Foams (Russia), Akkim Construction Chemicals (Turkey), Den Braven Sealants (Netherlands), Henkel AG & Company (Germany), Hanno-Werk (Austria), are recognized as innovators that have focused product portfolios. However, these companies do not have very strong growth strategies for their overall businesses as compared to the visionary leaders.
In January 2017, the Selena Group inaugurated its new joint venture company in China, House Selena. The company was formed under an agreement between Shanghai Haozheng Construction Engineering Co. Ltd., a Chinese entity active in the polyurethane foams market, and Selena Nantong Building Materials Co. Ltd. House Selena is expected to distribute and sell silicones, China foams, and mounting adhesives under the Hauser and Tytan brands.

In December 2016, the Selena Group expanded with the launch of a new production plant and a distribution center at its operational plant which was established in 2002 in Astana - New City, Kazakhstan. The company offers more than 200 products under the brand names, Tytan and Artelit. This investment increased the company’s production capacity to 120,000 tons construction chemicals per year.

In October 2015, The Dow Chemical Company introduced a low-density polyurethane system for molded seating and backrest foam applications. The new technology uses lowest density range MDI-based polyurethane. This development has helped meet customer demand.

In April 2015, Profflex launched a new universal agent, PROFFIX 100 adhesive, to glue any surface. It provides a quick and lasting bonding for most building materials. This launch helped the company to enhance its product portfolio.
