Written by Sanjay Kumar

On October 4, 2023, the Indian Stock market faced its second consecutive decline due to weakened global market sentiments. Key indices witnessed the following changes:

  • Nifty 50 index dropped by 92 points, closing at 19,436 levels.
  • BSE Sensex corrected by 286 points and ended at 65,226.

According to Siddhartha Khemka, Head of Retail Research at Motilal Oswal, “The recent surge in U.S. Treasury yields and strong US JOLTS jobs data have been impacting equity markets worldwide, leading to caution among investors.”

Day Trading Guide for Today (October 5)

Nifty 50 Outlook

Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, suggested, “The short-term trend of Nifty remains negative. However, the formation of a doji/hammer-type candle pattern near the support suggests the possibility of an upside bounce in the short term. A decisive close above 19,500 levels could open the door to an upside bounce towards 19,650 levels.”
