Bharti Airtel Achieves Milestone: Surpasses 10 Million Unique Customers on Its 5G Network

On Monday, February 27th, Bharti Airtel, one of India’s top telecommunications service providers, reported that it has surpassed 10 million unique 5G users on its network. This achievement follows the company’s previous milestone of one million unique 5G users in November 2022.

Airtel has launched its 5G services in various forms throughout the country since October 2022. As per the Q3 results, Airtel 5G plus is now available in over 70 cities.

“Our 5G rollout is progressing as planned and is expected to cover all towns and important rural areas by March 2024,” said Gopal Vittal, the MD of Bharti Airtel.

Airtel recently unveiled its plan to set up 5G experience zones in all of its retail stores across the nation. This move by the telecommunication giant is aimed at allowing customers to have a firsthand experience of the ultra-fast Airtel 5G Plus, providing them with a glimpse of the future of connectivity.

In December 2022, Bharti Airtel added 15.26 lakh new users, up from 10.56 lakh users in November 2021. Additionally, the Average Revenue per user increased to ₹193 in Q3, up from ₹190 in the previous quarter. The telecom operator also announced a price hike in its entry-level plans in January.
