Honda’s electric car Honda E ready to roll in Europe

All car manufacturers are racing to get early bird advantage in the Electric Car segment. The demand and the interest in electric cars segment is growing year on year and so is the competition.

Japanese car manufacturer, Honda, who has been one the top-selling car brands across the world for decades is also, stepping up the game with its new electric car models to catch the eye of the consumers. Honda in 2017 had revealed two of its tiny, electric hatchback models, Honda Sports EV concept and Honda Urban EV concept. These cars were quick to grab eyes of the visitors with its bright, charming, petite and sleek design. Honda had announced that the car would hit production and will be rolled out soon. They recently updated that  instead of Urban EV and Sports EV model, Honda will be releasing the Honda E model, which is the production version to the market. Though the car is less retro and is rounded off, the car still has all everything it takes to do well in the market.

Everything is exciting and looks fine, the only bad news for the consumers are that the E -model won’t be available for the US citizens yet, and they may have to wait for some more time for the update. The E model is designed and built to make driving in the narrow and crowded streets more fun while taking out the car occasionally in the open roads would make it exciting. These specifications would as of now suit certain countries and Honda has decided it launch it in the European market as of now.

The Honda E electric motor features a 148 hp engine producing 221 lb-ft of torque. This electric car is powered by a compact, lightweight 35.5 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack. The battery is located at the lower part of the car to create a low center of gravity. The battery is capable of charging 80% in just 30 minutes and can go 124 miles on a full charge.

The car is rear-wheel driven and which reduces the turning radius to suit the parking in congested parking lots and zip through narrow roads. It also features single-pedal control, which means when you take off your foot on the pedal the vehicle reduces the speed of the car making it easier in breaking the car and to control, this will definitely make driving simpler in the urban roads.

The car is also very safe, yet fun. The 50/50 weight distribution makes the handling of the car very solid. The car structure is lightweight yet high strength to reduce the impact and provide utmost safety for the passengers and driver.
