We all wish you the joy of Christmas if that is what you celebrate and the relaxation of a few days holiday if that’s what it means to you. We wish warring peoples would lay down their arms and sing carols and songs together – and leave their weapons silent forever. We wish the hungry would receive food, the homeless, shelter, the sick, healing and the lonely, love.

We pray that the young will receive the sort of education that will enable them to retain and develop the special sentience of humanity, the kindness essential for a crowded planet and the Affection we all crave to allow us to meet the challenges of a weary climate.

We ask that our gratitude for the many good things we have in our life may encourage us to share them with those less fortunate. We thank all of you good Citizens of Earth who share so much with us for showing us the way to help others and receive happiness.

And we ask that every blessing you want for yourself may be yours for 2024.
