As the saying goes, neither is success final nor is failure fatal, it is the courage that encourages people to keep continuing is what counts. Dr. Jack Kavanaugh is one such courageous man who has always remained undaunted even in the face of adversity. When he was already an established dentist in Beverly Hills, a major skiing accident completely disrupted his successful practice, leaving him with a fractured neck and leg. This forced him to leave this profession and commence on a new career path.
With a concerted effort, Dr. Jack Kavanaugh started afresh by completing an MBA from Anderson School of Management, UCLA, which helped him to lay a solid foundation for his new career. He then started working in mergers and acquisitions. He founded the strategic consulting Firm called International Strategy Consulting Group in partnership with one of his former partners. He also served as the director for Tech Team Global, an IT service providing company. He guided, supervised, and created value for the organization, and with his help, the company’s share price skyrocketed from 11 cents to around $33 per share.
Later he returned to the field of medical science and earned his MD degree from the Keck School of Medicine, USC. He then finished his ophthalmology residency from the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA, and joined the Calhoun Vision, Inc. as a board member in 2000. This was a pioneer firm in biotechnology concentrated on the invention of a type of lens whose power is adjustable post-implantation with the help of safe, non-invasive application of light. In that year, he also joined as a board member of Materia Inc., a firm engaged in the development and manufacture of revolutionary catalysts and other advanced materials.
Other than that, he was also a member of the board for the telecommunications and financial services company named PreCash. In 2008, Dr. Kavanaugh established his biotechnology firm called the ZetaRx Biosciences Inc., which was pioneering innovative methods of cancer immunotherapy. He served this company as the Chairman as well as the CEO.
In the year 2014, he co-founded Novonco Therapeutics Inc., which was associated with the field of epigenetics. His interests in multiple fields helped him to render exemplary services to the energy sector as well. He co-founded Nanotech Energy Inc., which is the world's best supplier of graphene products. Currently, he is serving as the chairman of RiverRock Films, SuperMetalix, Inc, and Orbsen Therapeutics Limited.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jack Kavanaughhas been a part of various organizations that have revolutionized medical treatments. His unique skill set and natural business acumen are the strong points that have helped him in developing different companies in a very short time. His perseverance, hard work, and superior management skills have steered many firms to great success. He is also associated with several charitable institutions in and around Los Angeles.
