The Medical profession is regarded as a noble profession and rightly so. The doctors have always been compared and equated next to almighty as they possess qualities of compassion, care, concern, help, and more. Dr.Jack Kavanaughis one of such respected personalities, as he has contributed immensely to the betterment of the medical field.

In his remarkable career, Mr. Kavanaugh as the Founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board has helped in many noble causes, including commercializing numerous health-related services and has created and led organizations like Calhoun Vision for creating next-generation medical treatments.

Let’s start from the beginning, Mr. Kavanaugh began his distinguished career as a supremely successful dentist, which ended with an unfortunate skiing accident where he broke his neck and shattered his leg, and was unable to practice dentistry again.

Dr. Jack Kavanaugh’s strong-willed efforts and zeal to make a difference allowed him to recover from this turning point and acted as a motivation to explore other options. He completed his M.D. degree from U.S.C. and surgical residency at U.C.L.A’s Jules Stein Institute. Till 2008, he remained a part-time visiting professor and taught eye surgery to fellow residents.

During the first year of residency, Dr. Kavanaugh founded Amerident, which is a healthcare service provider that was honored with more than 30 community service awards and a state congressional medal of honor for their work with infants.

In 2008, Mr. Kavanaugh founded ZetaRx Biosciences, Inc., an organization with a leading edge of immunotherapy for the treatment of cancer. He held both the posts of CEO and Chairman till June 2012 and then served as a consultant to the Board.

In 2014, he co-founded Novonco Therapeutics, Inc., with Dr. David Horne and Dr. Larry Overman which he chairs. Novonco has proved to be a leader in epigenetics and other therapeutic researches and combines intellectual properties from U.C. Irvine, The University of Athens, and the City of Hope. The organization is centered on many approached to cancer therapeutics, also called histone methyl transferase inhibitors.

Dr. Jack Kavanaugh as his wife Leslie are active supporters of many charitable organizations based in and around L.A., including the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, CA. It is among only 41 Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the U.S.A that are authorized by the National Cancer Institute to eradicate many deadly diseases. They are also supporting The Virginia Robinson Gardens, Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Aviva and Art of Elysium.
