White Collar Crime generally refers to crime that’s committed with a pen, as opposed to a gun or a knife, and it almost always involves stealing money, usually from a business. These kinds of crimes are generally well documented because people keep records when it comes to their money. So, a lot of times, these cases are easy for the state to prove, but the thing that they all have in common is that someone’s out a lot of money and really wants it back. Generally, in these cases, giving back the money can make a big difference in the way that people get sentenced.
