The Power of Purse-Her-Verence Survivor Celebration Luncheon will recognize and celebrate 4 survivors who are former victims of domestic violence and who are now thriving in their community. The Survivor Celebration Luncheon serves as a platform for those individuals who are former victims of domestic violence and who are now thriving in their community to share their stories to encourage others to take the first step towards a new path and to raise awareness to the issue of domestic violence so that the stigma and shame is removed.
The “Power of Purse-Her-Verence” Survivor Celebration Luncheon is a signature event presented by Angels of Love to celebrate and empower all women including survivors of Domestic violence. Along with motivational testimonies from our survivor honorees, we will also have luxury purses silent auction, raffles, and so much fun. The conference is designed to inspire women to live extraordinary lives.
One day prior to the Survivor Celebration Luncheon we have a Women’s Empowerment Conference. The goal is to empower women to reflect and rediscover who they are and their highest potential. The Empowerment Conference will be held Friday April 5, 2024; 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel; 2721 South 10th Street, McAllen, Texas. There are a limited number of tickets available for the event via GiveButter. Angels of Love is a non-profit organization which provides free services to victims of domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking across Hidalgo County.
Angels of Love’s vision is to extend itself throughout the Rio Grande Valley with not only providing advocacy, legal advocacy, financial literacy, empowerment classes, teen dating violence Expect Respect Program, legal services, parenting classes, counseling, emotional wellness programs and youth programs but also to open an emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence.
