Edinburg, TX – The Edinburg Police Department is gearing up for the highly anticipated 27th Annual National Night Out, taking place on August 1 at 5:30 p.m. This year’s event will be held at Edinburg Municipal Park, 714 S. Raul Longoria Rd. Rio Grande Valley residents are invited to join officers for an evening filled with food, fun, safety tips, and live entertainment featuring Grupo Control.
National Night Out, now celebrating its 40th year in the United States, has become a cherished tradition for communities across the nation. It brings together law enforcement agencies, local organizations, and residents to strengthen relationships and promote crime prevention awareness. The Edinburg Police Department has been an ardent supporter of this initiative, consistently organizing engaging and memorable events year after year.
This year’s National Night Out holds an extra special significance for the Edinburg Police Department as they celebrate a major milestone – their centennial year! For 100 years, the Edinburg Police Department has dutifully served and protected the City of Edinburg, demonstrating unwavering dedication and commitment to the community.
The 27th Annual Edinburg National Night Out promises to be a highlight of their centennial year celebrations. The event will feature a wide range of activities for all ages, including games, exhibits, and demonstrations. Families and friends can enjoy delicious food from local vendors while engaging in conversations with dedicated officers and learning valuable safety tips. The night will be elevated by a captivating performance from the renowned musical Control, “Los Reyes de La Cumbia,” who will take center stage to entertain the crowd with their lively melodies.
